The Atlantic Crossing Guide has become established as
the standard reference work for all those planning an Atlantic passage.
Refined and developed over the past 20 years, this new edition, now in full colour,
contains the latest information in three clear sections.
Preparations: advice on suitable boats and equipment, with details specific to
ocean cruising and warm weather sailing - navigation - communications and crew
issues - paperwork - provisioning -- watch keeping and safety considerations.
Passages and landfalls: detailed information on seasons and timing - wind and
weather - hurricanes - currents and tides - plus clearly defined routes across the
Atlantic, along the bordering coasts and between Atlantic island groups.
Port Information: comprehensive selection of ports and port information for
destinations on both sides of the Atlantic, suitable for landfall or departure.
No other book contains so much information for planning and setting out across an Atlantic
crossing. Whether you are contemplating your first ocean adventure or have multiple
crossings under your belt, the Atlantic Crossing Guide will be an invaluable
