This Guide builds on the original work of Oz Robinson and Anne Hammick and covers the Atlantic Coast from Cabo Prior (El Ferrol) to Gibraltar. It presents the three rias of NW Spain with their clean waters, outstanding fish, dramatic coastal and inland scenery and the ancient cathedral city of Santiago de Compostela. Chapter 2 covers the Atlantic coast of Portugal where improving facilities, and historic Porto and Lisboa, are making this region more attractive than in the past. Chapter 3 covers the delights of the Algarve, Andalucia with Sevilla and Cadiz and the Straits of Gibraltar.

Much has changed since the first edition was published in 1988. This 5th edition results from detailed visits along the coastline in 2005, the plans have been redrawn and new photographs introduced. Waypoints have been provided and all positions have been adjusted to WGS 84. The book is supported by a comprehensive list of files available online here for free download.
