The islands of the Atlantic are not just convenient stepping stones for the transatlantic sailor but offer much interesting and varied cruising. Each group is different and, within groups, there are marked differences between islands. Anne Hammick knows them well and this much expanded 5th edition has been redesigned so that it is in the same style of other pilots in the RCC family. The new look includes the introduction of waypoints as well as better use of colour.
This edition contains all the updates that have accumulated since 2004 as well as new material from visits between 2009 and 2011. Facilities for yachts have improved significantly during recent years and the increased extent of this edition has allowed the author to include full details of new yacht harbours and proposed developments. All the plans have been updated and there are many new photographs throughout the work.
Updating photographs and comments are always welcome and may be published immediately as 'Continuing Updates' as well as being reviewed for the formal yearly Supplement.
